About Our Founder – Vince Clanton
After a successful career as president of one of Atlanta’s leading brokerage companies, Vince Clanton decided that he would like to make the experiences and the expertise developed in his career available to others. From his own personal journey in the creation of his financial plan, he observed that what many people want but have a difficult time finding, is a single source for guidance.
Vince earned his credentials in the areas of life and health insurance, securities, and investment advice, and was later accredited as a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional in 2002. Today, Vince Clanton is President of Chancellor Wealth Management, a firm that specializes in delivering comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families, and business owners and their key employees.
A native of Atlanta, Vince attended the The Lovett School, graduated from Georgia Tech in Aerospace Engineering, and completed his MBA at Georgia State University. Vince also served a tour of duty as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.
Vince is an active member of the community, having served as President of the Georgia State University Alumni Association, a member of the Board of Advisors of the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon, The Chapter of the Cathedral of St. Philip, The Georgia State University Foundation, and The Georgia State University Athletic Association. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Vinings, and a past Assistant District Governor of Rotary District 6900. He serves the State Bar of Georgia as a fee arbitrator, member of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Standing Committee, and Chair of the Client Security Fund.
Vince holds the FINRA series 63, 65, 6, 7, 24, and 26 licenses as well as the Life, Accident & Sickness, and Variables insurance license.
Vince is married to Cynthia Hinrichs Clanton, and has two sons, Ryan and Scott, and four grandchildren. Ryan is General Director of the Minnesota Opera Company, and Scott works alongside Vince at the firm.
